I start the restore process in Windows, and after it has finished, I install the factory (stock) drivers for my video card. Skip a little while, I decided to restore my computer to factory settings (it was working fine). After that, it freezes for a second then runs fine again, and then it freezes, and then it runs fine, etc. And while in-game, things render well, and my FPS is normal - for 2 to 3 seconds. I should get a steady 30FPS at them, but instead got 15FPS and stuttering. The game stuttered too much, mainly in the cut-scenes. After that, I installed the latest drivers, rebooted and tried to run GRID. I ran DDU and wiped my old Catalyst install (it was working fine). Disabling the R5 (still does not use R7, but drops FPS to 1-3)
Re-installing the Windows 10 from scratchħ. Putting everything to max performance from Windows power savingĦ. Putting everything to max performance from AMD Settingsĥ. Using latest AMD Radeon drivers from AMD websiteĤ. Using latest AMD Radeon drivers from HP websiteģ. Updating BIOS with latest BIOS from HP websiteĢ. No matter what program or game I'm running, the laptop never uses R7 M260, but just runs low FPS with the R5.ġ.
My HP Pavilion has integrated AMD Radeon R5 (Primary) and AMD Radeon R7 M260 (linked). I've seen plenty of people having the same problem, but did not find anything that would have solved my problem.
